The National Conference on ‘Geoinformatics in Water Management’ was organized on 23rdJanuary 2019 with sponsorship from Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.In inaugural session Dr. MuralikrishnaIyyanki, Former Raja Ramanna DRDO Distinguished Fellow, RCI,Hyderabad was the Chief Guest of the conference. Dr. Y. B. Sontakke, JD - Water, MPCB was the Guest of Honour.In Valedictory sessionDr. Amar Supate, Principal Scientific Officer, MPCB was the Chief Guest. Eminent speakers in the conference were Dr. Sanjay Dahasahasra,DahasahasraWaternet Solutions, Thane, Former Member Secretary, Maharashtra JeevanPradhikaran, Mumbai; Prof. S. Gedam,CSRE, IIT Bombay; Mr. YogeshYande, ESRI; Dr. MritunjauChaubey, Chief Sustainability Officer, UPIL, and Dr. AvinashKubal, Retd. Director, Maharashtra NaturePark, Mumbai. The recommendations of the conference were communicated to relevant ministries and departments for action. Total 75 participants have registered in the conference.
