To commemorate the World Environment Day; plantation of indoor plants was conducted in pots by the faculty and staff of institute as well as from different institutes present in SIES, Nerul Campus.

The workshops on the theme 'Beat Plastic Pollution' on World Environment Day have been organized in different institutions and industries for sensitizing participants on the Plastic Waste Management Rules, technologies and practices. The details are as below:

iii. Swachhata Hi Seva: Cleanliness drive and Rally on 26-09-2018
Students and Faculty/non-Teaching staff of SIES Indian Institute of Environmental Management (SIES IIEM) contributed actively to the 'Swachhata Hi Seva'campaign on 26th of September 2018.This event was jointly organized with Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation. After a sensitization workshop on waste management practices at SIES Nerul Campus, a rally was organized from SIES, Nerul campus to Palm Beach Road entry point at sector-6 covering two kilometers distance. In this rally, SIES IIEM faculty/non-teaching staff and students from NSS and Retroact club of SIES Arts, Science and Commerce, Nerul, PGDPM,PGDBM, students of SIESCOMS had joined enthusiastically. There were a total of 66 participants in the event. The shopkeepers, pedastrians etc. have been sensitized on waste management practices. The rally was sponsored by Novvo Craze and Trendz.
